Since China enters the rainy season, CECEP Solar Energy Co., Ltd. has mobilized primary-level organizations to contribute to consolidating defense against floods on the front of power supply.    

The company sent volunteers to help guard the Hanchuan power station in Xiaogan, Hubei Province, which was hardest hit by the floods. To keep floods out of the switch room, the volunteers cut off the high-voltage power supply to ensure the safety of the power station and power supply to neighboring villages. After that, they devoted themselves to building floodwalls. To accelerate the pace of draining water away from the cable trench, the volunteers and maintenance team joined forces and cleared the muds with bare hands. In the meantime, they stepped up patrol in the region throughout the day so as to identify flooding risks and carry out rescues as soon as possible.    

The company’s Central China branch took the initiative and established cooperation with local flood control office in Jingzhou, Hubei Province. While sparing no efforts to raise anti-flood supplies, it set up a special response team made up by more than 20 members to monitor the flooding situation 24 hours and report any potential risks. On July 8, the Central China branch of the company was tasked with floodwall building. On the same day, it sent excavators to perform the task. Members of the special response team also helped local government’s relief efforts. Thanks to their tireless efforts day and night, potential safety hazards were successfully eliminated.
